Tom Egan, President & CEO

Tom Egan joined Esperança in March 2011 as President and CEO. He brings a rich background in leading charitable organizations, particularly those that provide social services to children and families that live in poverty. His experience in fundraising, directing complex programs and nonprofit leadership made him a natural fit to carry on the exceptional work provided by past presidents.

Tom’s career has taken him to local and national taskforces that deal with poverty reduction, child welfare, animal welfare, domestic minor sex trafficking and international human trafficking.

His vision for Esperança is to concentrate on the world’s most vulnerable, particularly women and children, by partnering with the local community to provide long term, lasting solutions to public health issues. Tom hopes to bring this amazing organization into the national nonprofit community, so it can do even more good in the next 40 years. Email Tom at tom@esperanca.org.
