Medical Goods Donations
Each year Esperança sends one sea shipment container full of donated medical goods to our trusted partners in Central and South America for use in our clinics and hospitals. These supplies are used by our surgical volunteer teams and distributed to hospitals in need in the region. We appreciate any medical materials or supplies that you may be able to donate!
A container is approximately the size of a semi-truck trailer. An average container provides approximately $1,500,000 in donated medical equipment and supplies. It costs Esperança just $8,000 to ship one of these containers. That is a tremendous return on our donor’s investment.
Esperança accepts new and used medical supplies and working equipment from manufacturers, wholesale suppliers and distributors, hospitals, clinics and individuals and delivers those supplies to clinics and hospitals in Central and South America. Currently, we are accepting donations that can be used for a variety of surgical specialties including: general surgery, anesthesiology, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, orthopedics, urology, and gynecology. We accept both expired and non-expired materials and supplies. We are NOT able to accept medications.

- Oxygen tubing masks

- Physical therapy supplies
- Wound management

All donations are tax-deductible. Please include a return mailing address so that we can provide you with a donation letter. If possible, please include an inventory of goods that are donated and their total estimated value. This helps us greatly for donation processing.
