Our Resolution:Better Communication
This January, we’ve been discussing resolutions for the New Year in the Esperança newsletter and in e-news. One of our resolutions, including expanding our services to Mexico and better communication with our project sites, is better communication with our donors.
It has been our policy for the last year and a half to send quarterly tax receipts to all donors. Prior, we sent these receipts after each donation. Beginning in 2008, we will send annual tax receipts at the end of the year. As our donor base steadily grows, you can imagine the extra time and expense that come with sending multiple receipts. Additionally, we have received feedback from many of you that one receipt at the end of the year is easier for you to manage. So, we’ve decided to save those extra postage pennies (which add up quickly!) for health projects.
We hope to make clear our gratitude throughout the year with our newsletters and e-news. If this annual receipt isn’t sufficient – that is okay too. Just let us know and we’ll be happy to send you a receipt as often as you’d like. In the meantime, we’re spending less time in our office on the clerical tasks and more time on improving the health of the poor.
We sincerely thank you for all of your support!
Warm regards,
