Medical Students Ride for World Health

Ride for World Health

Every year a group of medical students throughout the country embark on a cross country bike ride to raise awareness about global health issues. Along the route they stop at Universities, auditoriums and other venues, hosting experts in world health issues to speak on such topics. This year the Ride for World Health raised close to $100,000 in sponsorships to be distributed among organizations who work in developing countries.

Esperanca is fortunate to be the recipient of a $40,000 grant from the Ride for World Health!

For an organization that can build a home in Nicaragua for $3,000, dig a well for $1,200 and perform a surgery in Bolivia for $250, the grant will go a long way.
