Financial Information

COST EFFECTIVE: We spend $.90 of every contributed $1 on program services.

SMALL SIZE/LARGE IMPACT: We only employ four full-time and two part-time professionals in our headquarter office.

VOLUNTEER FOCUSED: We rely on medical volunteers and many other types of general volunteers to help us keep costs to a minimum.

MEDICAL SERVICES IMPACT: Doctors donate more than $1.5 million dollars of medical services to Esperanca annually.

MEDICAL GOODS IMPACT: More than $900,000 worth of medical goods are processed by Esperança for use in developing countries.

PRIVATE SUPPORT: More than 95% of our funding comes from individuals. We do not rely on government funding.

ENDOWMENT GROWTH: We are steadily increasing the size of the Esperança Endowment (our goal is $15 million) to support all of the administrative expenses. Our current endowment balance is approximately $3 million.

ACCOUNTABILITY: We endeavor to create a transparent system of operations by engaging an active board of directors and special committees, including finance, to oversee all aspects of the Esperança organization.
