Stewardship: 90% of contributions are spent on program services, and more than 95% of our funding comes from individuals. We do not rely on government funding.

Accountability: We have a transparent system of operations by engaging an active board of directors and specific committees – such as finance and programming – to oversee all aspects of the Esperança organization.

Non-profit Excellence: We adhere to operating principles as an organization that promote an ethical environment, teamwork and low turnover among staff.

Employee Wages and Compensation: Our small staff of four full-time and two part-time employees perform many tasks beyond their job description. We offer competitive salaries and benefits, not only to attract excellent personnel, but to retain a workforce that is continually improving their performance.

Outcome focus: We operate from an annual international strategic work-plan, which is evaluated quarterly and assessed annually, to ensure the realization of our mission.
